Task Force Distribution At The Emergency Services Show

These events were put together and presented by some of the country's most knowledgeable and experienced individuals in their respective fields. These experts represented not only themselves but also respected organisations; such as the National CBRN Centre, the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), the Retroreflective Equipment Manufacturing Association (REMA), the London Metropolitan Police, the College Of Paramedics, and many more.

Emergency Services Show LOWA Exhibition Stand As if the presenter’s credentials were not enough to lend credence to what they had to say, every session was also accredited by the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Certification Service. These CPD sessions took place across the two-days and were available to any and all ESS visitors at no additional cost; albeit on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Exhibition stands and informative talks were not the only things to see at the Emergency Services Show. For instance, the West Midlands Fire Service held their internal Road Traffic Collision (RTC) challenge at the show, providing the opportunity for teams of rescue personnel to compete and develop their skills. Visitors to the Emergency Services Show were able to watch the challenge from the sideline and had the opportunity to witness a variety of RTC scenarios including water rescues, as well as the techniques employed by rescue professionals to resolve them.

Supported by the West Midlands Fire Service Casualty Simulation team, the annual First Aid & Trauma challenge was also carried out at the ESS. Each team of two was given 10 minutes to fully assess a trauma situation and effectively treat those in need of rescue. The scenario was complete once the patient had been successfully handed over to a medical professional or the allotted time elapsed.

The First Aid & Trauma challenge has never been held outside of a fire service venue before, making this event one of the show’s most exclusive attractions. What’s more, the two highest ranked teams were put through to the national competition, giving them the chance to qualify for the World Challenge. These high stakes made the challenge a particularly exciting spectacle for those of us in attendance.

LOWA Task Force Collection 2017 At The Emergency Services Show

LOWA Military Boots - Wolf Grey Boots Range

Task Force Distribution could be found at stand E15, exhibiting a selection of boots from the LOWA Task Force Collection. All LOWA military, police and tactical boots are ideal for emergency service personnel and security professionals, however, we thought the Emergency Services Show would be another perfect opportunity to show off the new wolf grey LOWA boot range along with boots we already supply under contract to various units.

Having made their UK debut at the Security & Counter-Terror Expo back in May, the LOWA Z-6S, LOWA Innox and LOWA Zephyr can all be found in the new wolf grey colour, though they are not available to order just yet. If you’d like to be kept informed regarding the future availability of the wolf grey LOWA boot range, you can sign up to our newsletter by logging into your customer account if you have on or creating a new one. Alternatively, keep an eye out for an announcement post on the LOWA Military Boots blog.
