Both weights of socks are made up of a variety of materials, with each of these providing a benefit to the wearer. The merino wool that makes up the inner layer, contains anti-bacterial and anti-odour properties as well as providing the comfort and warmth to the sock. High-quality polyester and nylon then make up the middle layer, which assists in reducing the likelihood of blisters and discomfort by moving the sweat produced away from the skin. Finally, the third layer made of Nylon and Elastane prevents the polyurethane membrane from rubbing against the inside of your LOWA boots and wearing down.
